Becoming a Member

Think FPS might be right for you? We warmly invite prospective members to contact the office at  or 020 8446 4063. From there, Rabbi Rebecca will be in touch to suggest a meeting and invite you to attend a service. We know that everyone’s journey to FPS is different, and we aim to make the process as personal as possible. You are welcome to visit as often as you’d like before making the decision to join us.

Once you join, our Community Lead Sarah Wendy will guide you through a welcoming process to help integrate you into community life.

There is an annual membership fee for different categories of household, but no one is prevented from joining through financial hardship.

We are always happy to welcome visiting members of other Progressive Jewish communities from around the world. If you’re in the area and would like to visit, do get in touch!

Young Adults Membership

We are delightedwhen our ‘FPS babies’ grow up and want to maintain the connection with their community. For young adults aged 21-29 who have grown up at FPS – or any other Progressive synagogue – we offer a £77/year membership. The membership does not include burial rights, but this can be added on.
