Becoming a Member

We warmly invite prospective members to contact us.

Contact the office at  or call 020 8446 4063 and we will immediately create a connection to Rebecca, our rabbi. She will get in touch to suggest a meeting or to invite you to attend a service or other event to see how it feels. We aim to make the process as personal as possible.  You are welcome to visit as often as you would like before making the decision to join us.

Once you join, we have a welcoming process to integrate you into community life.

There is an annual membership fee for different categories of household, but no one is prevented from joining through financial hardship.

We are also happy to welcome visiting members of other Liberal, Reform and Progressive Jewish communities from around the world.

Do take the first step and get in touch: or 020 8446 4063.

Becoming Involved

A community thrives best when we all contribute. There are many opportunities for members to become involved here at FPS. Perhaps you have a skill or professional expertise that could be invaluable!

From organising events, to visiting our elderly and bereaved members, to working with a charity, to managing projects, to singing or gardening, there are endless ways to get involved and we value everyone’s contribution.

Young Adults Membership

We are delighted when our ‘FPS babies’ grow up and want to maintain the connection with their community. For young adults aged 21-30 who have grown up at FPS – or any other Progressive synagogue – we offer a £60/year membership. The membership does not include burial rights, but this can be added on.
