Care in the community

The Contact and Care Group exists to provide support for members. If you would like a call or a visit from a friendly member of the community, perhaps because you are unwell, or are feeling lonely or have lost some of your independence getting out of the house, then please get in touch with the synagogue office on 020 8446 4063. You will be asked to leave some basic details and one of the Contact team will get back to you.

We are also looking for volunteers who would like to help out. The most important part of the role of a volunteer is an ability to empathise and be a compassionate listener. If you think you can help, in any way, please contact the synagogue office.

Thursday Lunch

Every Thursday at 12.45pm our older members enjoy a delicious three course meal, combined with musical interludes, poetry readings, Scrabble and games etc.  The charge is £6.00 per person to cover costs.  If you need a lift, or if you know of anyone who may like to join us for lunch, please contact Nicky Marzell via the office

Project Noah

In October 2015 FPS launched Project Noah – our contribution to a sustainable future, aiming to set an example both within and outside our community.    We try to recycle as much as possible, from office paper to kitchen waste, the latter used for fertilizing   the synagogue garden. In purchasing decisions, we prioritize   fair-traded and sustainable sources, and encourage our suppliers to   do the same. We are also striving for greater efficiency in our use of energy and resources.    In these ways we make our modest contribution to tikkun olam   (the repair of the world).
