Cathy Burnstone I joined FPS three years ago as I was looking for a local, friendly and dynamic liberal synagogue.  I have been warmly welcomed, together with Carmen, my wife who has subsequently joined and we've been encouraged and supported to participate fully on joining, particularly in social action which FPS is engaged in.  Recently retired from my day job in Children's Social Work management; FPS matters, together with my business and some leisure activities occupy plenty of my time. I'm honoured to be the chair and hope to consolidate and progress the vision and ideas of Alex, the previous chair together with a strong and able council.  I would be very interested to know members' views about FPS and look forward to discussing these. chair@fps.org

Anjanette Pavell I have been a member of FPS for a couple of years (joining when our last synagogue closed). My family has been delighted to be welcomed into such a warm and thriving community and my twin sons have greatly enjoyed their time in Ivriah. I work as a corporate and commercial partner in a virtual law firm and enjoy spending my leisure time with my three lovely children. I feel privileged to work with Cathy and my fellow Council members to continue to keep FPS a happy and vibrant place in which to pray, learn and share. vicechairap@fps.org

Paul Silver-Myer My parents married and moved to Finchley shortly after FPS was established meaning this has been the only synagogue I have been a member of. I therefore feel strong links with its history and founders, yet have seen profound changes in the way [Liberal] Judaism has evolved over the last half century and how FPS has, and is, embracing those changes. My role, through liaising with the Vice-Presidents, is to provide Cathy with supportive experience to help enable her vision and drive to continue to make FPS an important part of our members' Jewish lives. paulsm@fps.org

Philip Raphael I  have been a member of the synagogue for a few years now and as part of my role on the Board I cover a wide angle of security related tasks. These include CST liaison, radios and other equipment. I am currently looking at refreshing the synagogue's security procedures in line with the latest CST recommendations. security@fps.org

Chris Nash I have been a full member of FPS for the past two years, having completed my conversion to Judaism. I love coming along to shul on  Shabbat and the Festivals and have made many friends here within the community.  Some of my favourite aspects of being a member here are the services - especially Dean's music, hosting and being hosted for Friday night dinners and sharing special moments in people's lives. From my own perspective I had a Barmitzvah last year, even though I might be a day or two over 13! FPS has given me so much, but equally I have enjoyed 'putting something back' by helping out with the homeless shelter, mainly with the night  sleepovers. Away from FPS, I work in the city as an accountant, so perhaps will help out with some of the Finances in the future. chrisn@fps.org
